Description
The successful candidate will perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within across disciplines. The Engineer at this level is proficient in the utilization of standard engineering theories and practices, and able to apply Company procedures. Willingness to travel occasionally is expected. Ability to mobilize and reach multiple job sites not serviced by public transportation is a necessity.

Experience Required:
This position will be responsible for design and support of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). A successful Candidate must have experience in system design, system construction inspection, system monitoring and system troubleshooting. Typical products may include ITS systems such as CCTV, variable message signs, vehicle and incident detection technologies, weather information systems, automated toll collection systems, traffic signal prioritization, as well as wireless and fiber optic communication systems. Candidate will work closely with other team members as well as partnered firms and clients to perform required details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of various ITS and communications alternatives.
Independently develops and/or supervises design, support and integration tasks. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status. Further, the engineer is responsible to produce calculations, drawings, specifications and reports as required by the particular project. The engineer is also required to support designs and provide responses to Contractor requests for information and perform integration tasks throughout construction and implementation phases.
